Former Pepito of Paraguay is national cycling champion

Sebastian is the National Cycling Champion! Hearing these words shouted out by the sports announcer filled our hearts with joy and brought happiness and joy!

In 2007, with great joy and emotion, we started a PEPE in our church because God had placed in our hearts a great desire to make a difference in the lives of children in our community. After training, home visits, registration, we were ready!

That’s how our PEPE started with 20 children enrolled and, among them, was Sebastian. His mother was single and suffered from depression, but accompanied her son in his studies, changing history and giving him an opportunity for growth when many said he was destined for failure. But our God transforms the lives of the PEPE’s children, as we read in Psalm 25:12 “Who are those who fear the Lord? He will show them the way they should choose.”

Sebastian and Carolina

The good teachings of God’s love and prayers had a positive result, changing the course of this child’s life. Sebastian attended PEPE during preschool and then continued his studies at Colégio Bautista Luz de Esperanza , which is located in the church itself. He grew up, and today, at the age of 20, he has never forgotten the Christian values he learned in childhood. His love for the sport was big and he soon fell in love with cycling participating in local championships, until he became our National Cycling Champion and represented Paraguay in ODESUR (South American Sports Organization).

Our hearts are filled with joy because we feel proud of this victory, which once again shows the great impact of PEPE’s ministry on the lives of children throughout our country.

Keep contributing and praying for PEPE !
