MEC from Nicarágua recognizes PEPE as a beautiful, clean and safe unit

The Nicaraguan Ministry of Education promotes a Comprehensive Program of Beautiful, Clean and Safe Schools (BCS) at a national level. The program aims to promote the value of teaching, learning, entrepreneurship and study in a pleasant environment so that the school community made up of parents, teachers, students and other employees of educational centers take on new roles and challenges.

We praise God that the PEPE “Happy Faces”, from the Baptist Church Jehová Jiré, located in Managua, which has been working as a community preschool since 2018, has received this special recognition. The award was consolidated by the delivery of a certificate by authorities at the level of the corresponding circuit of the Ministry of Education and by public mention to all the directors and teachers of the study centers in the municipality.

In this unit, we currently serve 57 children divided into two classes. Parents have few financial resources, however, together with the church pastor and missionary educators, they have worked hard to achieve PEPE goals in the community and ensure the care of children in a healthy and pleasant environment.

Before the start of this year’s activities, the pastor, with the support of church members and some parents, took on the challenge of building two new teaching spaces to better care for the children, as they used to do temple activities before.

We praise God for the recognition of this work and for being able to testify Jesus!
