Warming up the PEPITOS in Mongolia

In February 2024, through the Missionary DNA initiative, we began contact with the leadership of the Baptist Convention of Mongolia, where we had the opportunity to present PEPE – the Preschool Education Program – to this first generation of Baptist Christians in the country. After conducting a regional assessment and talking with local church leaders, we identified three major challenges for implementing PEPE:

  1. Ensuring thermal comfort for the children (temperatures range from +25°C to -26°C throughout the year).
  2. Providing access to potable water in local churches.
  3. Installing restrooms.

With these challenges in mind, we would like to encourage our people from the Brazilian Baptist Churches to reflect with us at PEPE Asia on how to address these needs so that the children of Mongolia can enjoy quality preschool education, reducing inequalities, especially in rural areas, and mitigating the risks of vulnerability they currently face. We challenge you to pray, contribute, share your ideas, and volunteer in Mongolia so that we can implement the suggested ideas and establish PEPE units as soon as possible. We already have a National Coordinator in training with us, and we will schedule the initial training for the first teams of Missionary-Educators. Be part of this mission given to us by the Father so that soon we can see the unreached people of Mongolia knowing the truth and the Father’s love for them. Let’s help our Baptist brothers in Mongolia complete the mission through the power of the Spirit.
