Recreational Retreat of PEPE South Area of Luanda: A Memorable Day

May 10, 2024, is a date that will remain etched in the collective memory of guardians, children, and missionaries, as it marked the first recreational retreat of the PEPE unit in the South Area of Luanda, Angola. In accordance with the action plan of the area coordination, the event took the PEPE children for a special day at the Bay of Luanda.

The journey began early, at 7:50 AM, when the children, radiant with joy, headed to the unit accompanied by their guardians. After gathering all the children, there was a moment of praise, worship, meditation on the word, and prayer, preparing everyone’s hearts for what was to come.

Finally, we departed for the much-anticipated destination. During the journey, the children sang songs of praise to the Mighty God, filling the atmosphere with joy and gratitude. A touching highlight was the presence of a Muslim guardian who joined the caravan alongside her daughter. Together, we all prayed the Lord’s Prayer, witnessing the power of unity amid diverse beliefs.

From 9 AM to 2:30 PM, the Bay of Luanda witnessed the infectious happiness of the children, who sang outdoors with the missionary-educators. To the captivating sound of a popular song, “The Soap,” the children expressed their joy while enjoying the day to the fullest.

The retreat provided moments of deep connection between guardians and missionaries, who conversed and shared experiences while watching the children. The spirit of grace and peace permeated the entire event, creating an atmosphere of love and harmony that will be remembered by all present.

Thus, the recreational retreat of PEPE South Area of Luanda brought immense joy to all of us, strengthening community bonds and celebrating diversity in a day filled with meaning and happiness.

Sincerely,
