In partnership with the organization Samaritan’s Purse, which demonstrates the power of a simple gift, surprise boxes were distributed to the children in the community, including some units of PEPE Peru. The children’s joy upon opening their gift boxes was contagious! The greatest joy was seeing that many of them heard about the plan of salvation, understanding that the best gift God gave us was sending Jesus to save us, and many received Jesus as their Savior. We praise God for those who contribute to making these gift boxes reach the children.
On the same day, several volunteer university students were invited to give lectures on nutrition, where they shared nutritious food with the children. They had the opportunity to use their five senses during the lecture, seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, and tasting the food prepared with such care by the students.
The José de Lucas Pereira unit is a PEPE program that started thirteen years ago through the Brazilian missionaries Éberson and Creuza and continues to benefit many children and families each year. This year, a drawing contest was held among the children. All of them worked hard to show their talents with lines and colors full of creativity. The winner was Ariadna, who is only 5 years old. It was a festive time during which the children visited an ecological park, participated in a psychomotor contest, paraded, played, and had a lot of fun while learning.
Let us pray for the coordination team and PEPE Peru’s Missionary-Educators so that they remain steadfast in the challenge of reaching more children in many other cities and churches.
