5-year-old missionary leads her family to Christ!

Missionary children? We have many in PEPE programs! In the Dominican Republic, an island in the Caribbean region, there is a PEPE program in the Sabana Perdida neighborhood called ‘Rayito de Luz.’ This year, a lovely girl named Jade Pimentel began attending. In an emotional act of faith, her entire family decided to give their lives to Jesus, inspired by the testimony of this little missionary who, at only 5 years of age, showed such profound conviction in her love for Christ that it moved her parents and siblings, leading them to make a profession of faith.

The story began a few months ago when the girl, after hearing the gospel at PEPE, decided to accept Jesus as her Savior. Since then, her life has taken a significant turn. “We were amazed to see how she spoke so confidently about God’s love and the importance of following Jesus. Her joy and faith touched our hearts, and we felt the need to draw closer to God as well,” her mother enthusiastically said.

The family began attending church services regularly, motivated by their daughter’s enthusiasm. Gradually, her testimony began to transform the atmosphere at home. “We realized that we needed what she had,” added her father.

During a Sunday service, the entire family publicly confessed their faith in Jesus Christ. The community, visibly moved, welcomed them with prayers and embraces. “It is a miracle to see how God used this girl to bring her entire family to Christ; it reminds us that the Lord can do great things through small hearts,” said a church member.

Today, they are preparing for baptism. This family’s story has inspired the entire church, which now sees in Jade’s faith an example of how God can work in unexpected and powerful ways.

PEPE was created by God to save and rescue children, teaching them the Word of God. With Jesus in their hearts, they become little missionaries, bringing His love into their homes! Children are happy to be cared for and protected in PEPE, but when their families confess Jesus as Savior, that same peace reaches their homes. This is our challenge!

Pray for PEPE, as many children still need to know Jesus and need us!
