On May 3rd, PEPE International held another edition of its Prayer Journey, a global movement of intercession with a special focus on the children served by the program. For 24 consecutive hours, people from different parts of the world came together with one purpose: to pray for them.
With the theme “Strengthened in the Lord,” inspired by Ephesians 6:10, over 500 participants—including missionaries, local leaders, and partners—represented 44 countries in this powerful prayer chain. Each team had 30 minutes to lead their moment in their own language: Portuguese, Spanish, French, or English. It was also beautiful to see partner projects joining forces, such as those from JMM’s education branch, Childhood Ministries, Rights Advocacy, and the Sidewalk Project.

The focus of the journey was to cry out for the protection, provision, and value of the children, as well as to ask for peace and support for their families. We also prayed that churches would embrace even more the mission of caring for children with love and commitment.
One moving moment came when a girl at one of the PEPE units asked for prayer for her mother, who was very ill. After praying together, she learned that she could also talk to God. Later, the news came: her mother had been healed, and the whole family began attending church services. It all started with a simple prayer.
This is the beauty of talking to God. He listens, He answers, and He transforms. During the Journey, we lifted our voices in many languages, but with one heart. Because we pray out of love—and that love compels us to keep going.
We stand firm, believing that as we pray, God moves. And the children of the world are reached with hope.
