I studied at PEPE!

I want to share with you what God has done in the life of a former PEPE student. My name is Nagelly Jaramillo. I was born in Ecuador, and today I am 19 years old. One beautiful day, PEPE arrived in my town, which is located in the Ecuadorian Amazon region, and I had the privilege of being part of the first class! Along with my friends from the neighborhood where we lived, we joyfully went to study and learn, nurturing big dreams, such as becoming professionals. I graduated from PEPE Shushufindi in the class of 2010.

At PEPE, we learned to read and write, but we also learned about the Bible. To this day, I remember the verse that became my guiding motto throughout my years of study and life. It is found in Proverbs 22:6 and says: Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it..”

I am studying anthropology at Universidad Politécnica Salesiana, currently finishing my second year. It has been a year since I started working at the Quilla Cultural Center, an interesting and value-filled place where I now teach leveling classes in various subjects.

In my free time, I study guitar, as I love music. At the moment, I am at the learning stage, taking my first steps, but I hope to reach the level needed to join the Quilla music ministry.

Today, my mother and I have Jesus as our Savior and Lord, and we joyfully participate in the activities held at our church, learning to love and worship God, just as I learned at PEPE! Pray for PEPE programs in Ecuador; there are still many children who need to know Jesus!
